About Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)

The PradhanMantri Mudra Yojana has been launched by the GOI w.e.f. 8th April 2015 and the NABARD, vide their letter no.NB.Assam/1114/OFDD/PMMY-MUDRA/2015-16 dtd. 25.06.2016, whereby the Bank has been advised to instruct all Branches to participate in this Yojana (PMMY) so that benefit could reach the beneficiary (As per roll out of) PradhanMantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY), mainly consisting of non-farm enterprises in manufacturing , trading & service sector whose credit needs are below Rs.10.00 lakh. The loan given to this segment for income generating activities is known as MUDRA loan under PMMY.

There are 3 Sub-segment under this Yojana which are defined as under

  • Shishu (Loans upto Rs.50,000/-)
  • Kishore ( Loans from Rs.50,001/- to Rs.5,00,000/-)
  • Tarun (Loans from Rs.5,00,001/- to Rs.10,00,000/-)

Accordingly our Bank, participating in this yojana, and has been accepting loan proposal under “Shishu Category” only where maximum involvement is restricted to Rs.50,000/- per unit without insisting of collateral security.
